Revised and edited, this manual was written to compliment the videotape and CD-ROM series and for residents in graduate specialty programs. It contains practical information regarding Splint Therapy, Pain, Pain Management, and the Management of Temporomandibular Disorders. The chapter on "The Worn Dentition" provides an in depth explanation of the etiologic factors involved in tooth wear: (erosion, abrasion, abfraction and attrition). The "Rule Of Thirds" section provides valuable criteria for developing anterior esthetics. The chapter on "Anterior Guidance" is a paper that was presented to the American College of Prosthodontists and received such interest that a videotape was prepared along with this chapter in my manual. My favorite topic "Centric Relation" is presented with the "science" that is available at this time and provides thought provoking information for the advanced clinician.
