Implant Surgery and Anatomy
2-day Hands-on Cadaver Workshop

2 days - 16 hours of AGD CE Credits: $3150.00

Course Objectives

This course is designed to offer the opportunity to learn and perform all of the intricate techniques and guidelines involved in treatment planning and implant surgery. Cone beam images of your cadaver specimen will be provided and you will be taught how to interpret them and to use the study casts in treatment planning. An anatomical review and new and exciting techniques from a world renowned lecturer and clinician are some of the highlights of this course designed for dentists interested in placing implants or interested in gaining a better understanding of treatment planning for implant restorations.

Participant Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Read and interpret cone beam images (iCat and NewTom)
  • Understand the function and position of important anatomical structures
  • Apply the guidelines for bone types, site selection and implant inter-distance
  • Determine the trajectory for implant placement, perform meticulous tooth
    removal preserving the buccal plate of bone, and how to manage the “gap”
  • Place implants, harvest and perform bone grafting procedures and suturing techniques.
  • Determine implant stability
  • Understand sinus lift and sinus membrane tenting and sinus augmentation procedures

  • Participants receive Dr. Tanaka’s DVD Anatomy for Implant Dentists from the Tanaka Educational Library
